On Pie, you connect with people by following them. When you follow someone and they follow you back, you're friends.
Looking for friend requests? Friend requests have been replaced by following. Any friend requests you had before now show up as follows in your inbox.

How to find people to follow
- Tap the search tab.
- Under recents, find the people you might know row.
- Tap follow on someone's card to follow them, or tap their card to open their profile.
How to follow someone from their profile
- Open their profile.
- Tap •••.
- Tap follow. If they already follow you, you'll see follow back instead.
Once you both follow each other, you're friends.
How to follow someone back from your inbox
When someone follows you, you'll see [their name] started following you in your inbox. Tap follow back to follow them too. See How to Use Your Inbox for more.
Viewing your friends and followers
- Go to your profile.
- Tap N followers (N is your number of followers).
This opens my friends and followers, with three tabs:
- followers: People who follow you. Tap follow back to follow them, or message if you're already friends.
- following: People you follow.
- friends: People you follow who also follow you back.
Use search by name to find someone in your lists.
Viewing someone else's followers
On someone else's profile, tap their followers count to see who follows them. Their profile also shows any mutuals you have in common. If you don't have any, you'll see no mutuals...yet.
How to unfollow someone
There are two ways to unfollow someone:
From their profile
- Open their profile.
- Tap •••.
- Tap unfollow.
If you're friends, you'll see unfollow? asking you to confirm.
From your following list
- Go to your profile and tap N followers.
- Tap the following tab.
- Tap the ✕ next to following on the person you want to unfollow.
How to block someone
- Open their profile.
- Tap •••.
- Tap block.
To unblock someone, follow the same steps and tap unblock. You can also tap report from the same menu.
💻 On the Web
Following works almost the same way on getpie.app.
- Your my friends and followers page has three tabs: followers, following, and friends. You'll also see people you might know under each tab. You can go there directly at getpie.app/my-circle.
- To follow, unfollow, block, or report someone, open their profile and click •••.
- On the web, unfollowing a friend happens right away, with no unfollow? confirmation.

What's the difference between following and being friends?
Following is one-way. You're friends when you follow each other.
Can I remove someone from my followers?
Not at this time. If you don't want someone to interact with you, you can block them from their profile.
