FAQ
What happens if I try to message someone I'm not connected with?
The DM thread is created but frozen β they can read your message but can't reply until you're connected.
Can I message someone just because we're on the same plan?
Not automatically. Shared plan attendance doesn't unlock messaging on its own β you'd need to be friends or have Stars Aligned.
What about the plan's group chat?
That's separate from DMs. Once you've joined a plan (status: I'm in, Going!, or Maybe), you're in that plan's group chat automatically.
What happens to my messages if I block someone?
The entire DM history is deleted for both of you when a block is placed. It can't be recovered.
Can a host message all their attendees at once?
Yes β hosts can send a text bump, which goes out as an SMS to attendees. That's different from a DM.
