Creating a plan on Pie takes less than a minute — here's what to expect.
Plans start as drafts. Fill in the basics, add details as you go, and publish when you're ready. You don't need everything figured out upfront.
📱 On the App
- Tap + to create a new plan.
- Give your plan a title.
- Choose whether guests need to request to join or can join freely. (You can't change this after publishing — choose carefully.)
- Your plan is saved as a draft. Keep editing or publish now.
- Add details: date, time, location, description, cover photo, links, capacity, visibility.
- When you're ready, tap Publish.

Same flow — click Create Plan, fill in your details, and publish when ready.

What you can change after publishing
Most things can be edited after a plan goes live. Here's what matters:
You can change:
- Title, description, date, time, location, cover photo
- Visibility — open it up or lock it down anytime
- Capacity — you can raise or lower the guest limit, but once you've set a capacity you can't remove it entirely
- Ticketing details
Attendees are notified when key details like date, time, or location change.
You can't change:
- Whether the plan requires guests to request to join — this locks the moment you publish
Duplicating a plan
Want to reuse a plan? You can duplicate it.
- Open the plan.
- Tap ⋯ → Duplicate.
- A copy opens as a new draft with all the same details — edit and publish as usual.

Can I save a plan without publishing it?

Can I share the plan before it's published?
No — only published plans can be shared.
What's the URL for my plan?
Once published, your plan has a shareable short link (getpie.at/e/...) you can copy from the plan page.
