Blocking someone cuts all contact — for both of you.
When you block someone, they disappear from your world on Pie and you disappear from theirs. It's immediate, silent, and covers plans, messages, and discovery.
📱 On the App
To block:
- Open the person's profile.
- Tap the ⋯ menu (top right).
- Select Block.
- Confirm.
To unblock:
- Go to Profile → Settings → Blocked Users.
- Find the person and tap Unblock.

To block:
- Sign in at getpie.app and open their profile.
- Click the ⋯ menu.
- Select Block and confirm.
To unblock:
- Go to your profile → Settings → Blocked Users.
- Click Unblock next to their name.
What happens when you block someone

💡 Blocking is silent — the other person won't get a notification. They'll only notice if they try to find your profile or interact with your content.
💡 One exception: if you're both attending a plan hosted by someone else, you can still see each other on the attendee list. That's intentional — so you can make an informed call about plans before you RSVP.
FAQ
Will they know I blocked them?
No. Pie doesn't send any notification when you block someone. They'll only realize something is off if they try to look you up or interact with your content.
Can they still see my plans?
No. Blocked users can't see your plans, and you can't see theirs — even if the plans are public.
What if we're both going to the same plan, but neither of us is the host?
Blocking doesn't remove either of you from a third-party plan. You'll still appear on each other's attendee list — so you can see who's going before you RSVP and decide accordingly. The plan's group chat also stays shared.
What happens to our messages?
All direct message history between you is deleted for both sides immediately when the block is placed.
If I unblock someone, do we become friends again?
No. Unblocking removes the restriction, but it doesn't restore your friendship, follows, or stars. You'd need to reconnect from scratch.
Can a blocked person buy tickets to my plan?
No. They can't purchase tickets to any plan you own or co-host.
