As a Pie Creator Club member, you earn 10 points ($10) for every brand new Pie account created through a link you share. The more widely you share, the more chances you have to bring new people to Pie and grow your earnings.
This article covers tips for getting the most out of your links. For step-by-step instructions on finding and copying each type of link, see Bringing New Users to Pie.
🎉 You get credit for any plan or community you share
You don’t have to be the host to earn. When you share any plan or community home on Pie, including ones created by other people, you get credit for every new account that signs up through your link.
So if you see a plan your audience would love, or a community they’d want to join, share it. Every new account it brings to Pie counts toward your earnings.
⚠️ Profile links work differently. A profile link always gives credit to the person whose profile it is. Share your own profile link to earn credit for yourself. If you share someone else’s profile, any new accounts go to them, not you.
🔑 The most important rule: copy your link while logged in
Your link is what ties new accounts back to you. Always copy and share links while you’re logged into your Pie account. Otherwise, new accounts can’t be attributed to you, and you won’t earn points for them.
You earn the same 10 points for each new account, whether someone signs up through a plan, a community home, or your own profile.
Share any plan, not just your own
Any plan on Pie can earn you points, whether you’re hosting it or not.
To copy a plan link:
- Open the plan.
- Tap Invite in the bottom left.
- Tap copy link.
The same goes for community homes. You can share any community home, yours or someone else’s, and earn credit for new accounts that sign up through it.
Sharing on social media
Social media is one of the best ways to get your Pie links in front of new people. Whether you’re posting on Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, or anywhere else, the same rule applies: the link is what earns you points.
You can use any image, video, or graphic you like to promote a plan. But if your post doesn’t include your copied Pie link, new accounts can’t be tracked back to you.
Where to add your link:
- In your post caption or description, on platforms that allow links
- In your stories, using the platform’s link option
- In your bio (see below)
- In comments or DMs when people ask how to join
Sharing a plan to your Instagram Stories
Pie makes it easy to share a plan to your Instagram Stories with the plan’s image and details already filled in. You’ll just need to add your link before posting, since the story won’t include it automatically.
- Open the plan and tap Invite.
- Tap copy link to copy your plan link.
- Tap Invite again, then choose stories. Instagram opens with a story showing the plan’s image and details.
- Add a Link sticker to your story and paste your copied plan link.
- Post your story.
Without the Link sticker, people can see your plan in your story but can’t tap through to sign up, and you won’t earn points for new accounts.
You can also use your own visual instead of the plan image. Just make sure to add the Link sticker with your Pie link.
Keep a link in your bio at all times
One of the easiest ways to keep earning is to keep a Pie link in your social media bios permanently. That way, anyone who finds your account and signs up through it counts toward your earnings, even when you’re not actively promoting anything.
Recommended links:
- Your community home, if you have one
- Your own Pie profile, if you don’t
We recommend these because they show all of your plans in one place. Your bio link stays useful no matter what you’re hosting, and you don’t have to update it every time you post a new plan.
That said, you can still use a specific plan link if you prefer, like when you’re promoting one big event. If you use a link-in-bio tool, you can also add individual plan links alongside your community home or profile. Any plan or community home link earns you points, so choose what works best for your audience.
💡 If you use a profile link in your bio, make sure it’s your own. Profile links give credit to the person whose profile it is.
Share beyond social media
The more places your links appear, the more people they reach. Consider sharing in:
- Your newsletter
- Group chats, like WhatsApp groups
- Any other community or chat spaces you’re part of
Using link-out plans? Share the Pie link
If you host events on another platform, link-out plans are a great way to get them in front of people on Pie. When someone joins a link-out plan, they’re taken straight to your external event page.
Keep in mind: posting a link-out plan on its own won’t earn you Pie Creator Club points. You earn by bringing new people to Pie, so make sure you’re sharing the Pie plan link, not just the external link. New users who sign up through your Pie plan link still go through account creation before they’re sent to your event page, so you get credit for the new account and they still get to your event.
Pie helps more people discover your plans, but just letting a link sit there won’t drive new accounts. Actively sharing your Pie links is what grows your earnings.
