Refunds

Refunds for ticketed plans are not currently handled in-app. All refunds must be approved by the host and processed through support.

 

When refunds apply

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and require host approval.

Common scenarios include:

  • a guest can no longer attend 
  • a plan is canceled 
  • a host approves a refund for any reason


How to process a refund

To issue a refund:

  1. Email: support@getpie.app 
  2. Include: the attendee’s Pie account name and/or phone number the plan details 

Once approved:

  • Pie will process the refund to the attendee 
  • The attendee will receive the full ticket amount paid


Limitations

  • Refunds cannot be processed directly in the app 
  • Refunds require host approval 
  • Stripe processing fees are not refunded

This means:

  • the attendee receives a full refund 
  • the host is responsible for covering the Stripe processing fee


ℹ️ Important to know

  • Refunds may take a few business days to appear back in the attendee’s account 
  • If there are insufficient funds, the remaining balance may be deducted from future payouts
