Refunds for ticketed plans are not currently handled in-app. All refunds must be approved by the host and processed through support.
When refunds apply
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and require host approval.
Common scenarios include:
- a guest can no longer attend
- a plan is canceled
- a host approves a refund for any reason
How to process a refund
To issue a refund:
- Email: support@getpie.app
- Include: the attendee’s Pie account name and/or phone number the plan details
Once approved:
- Pie will process the refund to the attendee
- The attendee will receive the full ticket amount paid
Limitations
- Refunds cannot be processed directly in the app
- Refunds require host approval
- Stripe processing fees are not refunded
This means:
- the attendee receives a full refund
- the host is responsible for covering the Stripe processing fee
ℹ️ Important to know
- Refunds may take a few business days to appear back in the attendee’s account
- If there are insufficient funds, the remaining balance may be deducted from future payouts
