This article explains how ticket pricing works on Pie, what fees are applied, and what attendees see at checkout.
How pricing works
As a host, you set your ticket price.
- The price you enter is the amount you keep
- Pie adds fees on top of your price
- The attendee pays the total (ticket + fees)
This means you always receive the full face value of your ticket.
Fees breakdown
Pie charges a transaction fee per ticket:
$0.99 per ticket + 5% of the ticket price
These fees are paid by the attendee, not deducted from your earnings.
📊 Example: How pricing works on Pie
| You set | Fees added (paid by attendee) | Total attendee pays | You receive |
|---|---|---|---|
| $10 | $0.99 + $0.50 (5%) = $1.49 | $11.49 | $10 |
| $20 | $0.99 + $1.00 (5%) = $1.99 | $21.99 | $20 |
| $50 | $0.99 + $2.50 (5%) = $3.49 | $53.49 | $50 |
What attendees see
At checkout, attendees will see:
- Your ticket price
- Fees clearly broken out
- Total price before payment
Fees are not baked into the ticket price — they are shown separately.
This keeps pricing transparent for both you and your attendees.
