How to update guests
There are three main ways to send updates on Pie:
- Plan chat
- Text updates (Txt Bump)
- Editing the plan
Plan chat
Use plan chat to message all guests in one place.
Best for:
- general updates
- reminders
- coordination details
Text updates (Txt Bump)
- Use Text Bump when you need to reach guests quickly via SMS.
- To send a text update:
- Open your plan
- Tap the three dots (top right) or open plan chat
- Tap Txt Bump
- Choose who to message:
- guests who are going
- guests who are maybe/pending
- Write your message
- Choose whether to also post it in plan chat
Editing the plan
Update key details like date, time, or location directly in the plan.
Guests will automatically be notified when these changes are made.
When to use each
- Plan chat → general updates and reminders
- Text Bump → urgent or time-sensitive updates
- Plan edits → changes to core plan details
Avoid sending the same update across multiple channels unless necessary.
