Understanding Your RSVP Status

Your RSVP status tells you whether you’re confirmed for a plan, waiting for approval, or still need to take action before attending.

You can view your current RSVP status directly on any plan you’ve joined or requested to join.

Your RSVP statuses at a glance

Status	What it means
I'm in	You've confirmed you're going (open plans)
Going!	You've been approved and you're in (request-to-join plans)
Maybe	You're interested but not committed (open plans only)
Pending	You've requested to join and are waiting for host approval
Pending purchase	You're approved but your ticket payment isn't complete yet
Declined	The host didn't approve your request
Not going	You left the plan, or the host removed you

What Happens When I Join a Plan?

Depending on the plan, one of two things will happen:

Instant Confirmation

Some plans allow you to join immediately.

Once you RSVP:

your status changes to I’m In
you’ll gain access to the plan experience
you’ll be able to participate in the group chat (if available)

Host Approval Required

Some plans require host approval before you can attend.

When you request to join:

your status becomes Pending
the host reviews your request
if approved, your status changes to Going!
if declined, your status changes to Declined

What Does “Pending Purchase” Mean?

For some ticketed plans:

The host first approves your request
You then need to purchase your ticket

Until payment is completed, your status will show:

Pending Purchase

Your spot is not fully secured until payment is successfully completed.

Group Chat Access

Plan group chats unlock once your RSVP status is:

I’m In
Going!
Maybe

You won’t have access while your status is:

Pending
Pending Purchase
Declined

What Happens if a Plan Is Full?

If a plan reaches its guest limit, new attendees won’t be able to join.

At this time:

Pie does not offer waitlists
additional spots only become available if someone leaves the plan

FAQ

Can I change my RSVP after joining?

Usually yes.

You can leave most plans at any time unless you’ve already purchased a ticket.

Will the host know when I join?

Yes.

Hosts receive notifications when attendees join or request to join their plans.

Can I rejoin after leaving?

Usually yes.

For plans that require approval, you’ll need to submit a new request and wait for approval again.

Can I be removed from a plan?
